The journalist Glenn Greenwald, a columnist for the British newspaper The Guardian, talks during event in Rio de Janeiro.Glenn Greenwald, U.S. author, journalist and lawyer will speak at the opening night of the MountainTop Film Festival.

Greenwald will be called onto the big screen via Skype to do a Q&A after the 4:00 pm screening of CitizenFour – the real life thriller he and Lauren Poitras made about whistleblower Edward Snowden. Snowden contacted Greenwald anonymously and said he had “sensitive documents” he would like to share. As part of the global surveillance disclosure, the first of Snowden’s documents were published by Greenwald in Britain’s The Guardian.

Tickets to the film festival screenings and special events are available at the Big Picture Theater in Waitsfield, Vermont.
