Publisher’s Note: As we prepare for our annual Holiday sabbatical, and prepare this last post before we disappear until mid January, to celebrate Vermont Independence Month, it seems appropriate, in this COVIDtopian Civilizational Moment, to pose the most broad and existential evolutionary question possible – a question that moves Vermont / US beyond absurdist binary politics, beyond manufactured tribalism, beyond Woke’ness, beyond COVDtopia, beyond Vermont independence, into a deeper space, one where we  ponder Viral Tyranny, Health Choice, and Human Destiny for 2022, and Beyond.

Do we Humans wish to live as Creatures, or do we Humans wish to live as Machines?

US  poet laureate of decentralist politics – Kentucky farmer, environmentalist and essayist Wendell Berry – predicted modern Scientism would bring US to this place two decades ago, in his beautiful little book Life Is A Miracle: An Essay Against Modern Superstition, taking on Harvard scientist E.O. Wilson‘s book Consilience.

And now, here we are.

If we are against “modern superstition,” then what are we FOR?

Here’s a short list.

Natural Immunity.

Human Sovereignty and Non Compliance to Viral Tyranny (thanks, Vermont representative Vicki Strong.)

Health Choice.

Medical Freedom.

Informed Consent.

Small businesses, farms and towns, where Humans can greet each other, faces fully uncovered, without Viral Fear or Knee-Jerk Tribal Judgements.

A republic built on constitutional law and a bill of rights, one that acknowledges our Human obligations and responsibilities to one another.

Freedom And Unity.”

Let’s start here.

Merry December and a Happy New Year to all.

Courage, Team Human Vermont!

See you OUTSIDE in 2022.
