CNN/Facebook Conspiracy Against Truth-Telling by Stephen Lendman

Censorship is the new normal in America – speech, independent media, and academic freedoms threatened.

What’s going on is the hallmark of totalitarian rule – controlling the message, eliminating what conflicts with the official narrative, notably on major geopolitical issues, especially anything about Russia and other sovereign states targeted by the US for regime change.

CNN is the most untrustworthy name in television – featuring round-the-clock managed news misinformation and disinformation rubbish, masquerading as news.

Like Twitter and other anti-social media, Facebook is a censoring machine, at war on truth-telling, complicit with the imperial state, flagrantly violating First Amendment rights, unaccountable for its actions.

I experienced its venom firsthand.  Earlier my FB page was deleted for weeks for refusing to remove truth-telling content. Articles and comments I made were deleted, stating views contrary to the official narrative, a reality check dark forces in Washington want suppressed, FB allied with their sinister agenda.

FB, other anti-social media operate as a collective Ministry of Truth, gatekeepers enforcing online censorship. Establishment media operate the same way, suppressing what’s vital to know on major issues.

Controlling the message is what Orwell called “reality control,” force-feeding the official narrative, inconvenient popular ideas airbrushed from establishment reports.

On Monday, RT explained that FB “block(ed) pages with MILLIONS of subscribers after CNN reports ties with RT,” adding:

With no advance notice, FB took down Maffick Media’s Soapbox, Back Then, Waste-Ed, and In the Now pages with truth-telling videos, following a CNN report, saying:

“Russia is backing a viral video company aimed at American millennials (without) disclos(ing)” a connection, falsely suggesting it’s an arm of the state, ignoring its vital public service information, adding:

“The pages are run by Maffick Media, a company whose majority stakeholder is Ruptly, a subsidiary of RT, which is funded by the Russian government.”

In the US and other Western countries, media connected to Russia are automatically called “propaganda” mouthpieces – code language for truth-telling, diverging from official narrative misinformation and disinformation.

An FB statement said “(p)eople connecting with Pages shouldn’t be misled about who’s behind them. Just as we’ve stepped up our enforcement of coordinated inauthentic behavior (sic) and financially motivated spam (sic) over the past year, we’ll continue improving so people can get more information about the Pages they follow.”

In response to FB’s censorship, Maffick denounced its action as “new McCarthyism.” In the Now’s Anissa Naouai said “FB will require us to have a disclaimer about our funding. This is unprecedented discrimination as FB doesn’t require this of ANY page.”

There’s nothing secretive, malign, improper, or illegal about Maffick, Ruptly, and unacceptably taken down pages – an act of pure censorship, wanting their content followed by millions suppressed.

FB, other anti-social media, and their conventional establishment counterparts are allied with dark forces in Washington against truth-telling.

That’s what totalitarianism is all about, an undeclared war in the US and other Western countries against speech, alternative media, and academic freedoms that conflict with the official narrative.
